R.F.YAMAKAWA

With the idea of “design for well-being“, R.F. YAMAKAWA produces the products that will enrich one’s daily life at the office or at home, which originated from the collaboration of Japan and European designers, and sells for a worldwide market.

COMPANY

R.F.YAMAKAWA (RFY) has been established in 1962 in Mie prefecture, Japan. In the beginning the business dealt with manufacturing tables with honeycomb structure and in 1984 got started office furniture.

Today, as a fabless manufacturer of office furniture and related products, RFY has branches in Tokyo and Osaka, and in November 2024 opened an unmanned showroom and co-working space in Fukuoka, providing total office solutions mainly in the domestic market.

DESIGN VISION

The focus of RFY design has always been everyday things you find in your office or your own home, and how these things can be added value by good idea and design. Our products should be functional and space saving, and also be attractive for all, is what drives our search for new product’s developments.

The company motto is “design for well-being“. Together with great service, R.F. Yamakawa wishes to produce well-designed products of good quality, at a price that makes everybody able to enjoy them.
